Mountain Air

Funny how a 5 hour car ride

Following the winding roads where the river flows

Seems to fly bye

Now we’re driving up the cliff side

To our temporary home

For the next couple nights

(Nights) we’d spend sitting in the warmth of the fire

Watching the stars slowly dance in

Allowing ourselves to be unaware

Of the world miles from there

Oh and the moment I heard the birds start singing,

My soul started singing too

Where the worries fade into the mountain scape

I can finally breathe

I give to the trees the burdens I release

For the breeze to cleanse and bring back to me.

I can finally breathe

Funny how a couple of night owls

Turn to sun rise regulars from 6am vacationers

Let the coffee sink in as the small talk comes out

Only a few hours sleep, but we’re more rested now

Oh and the moment I heard the birds start singing,

My soul started singing too

Where the worries fade into the mountain scape

I can finally breathe

I give to the trees the burdens I release

For the breeze to cleanse and bring back to me.

I can finally breathe

Cards and wine

No track of time

No deadlines

Just peace of mind

Where the worries fade into the mountain scape

I can finally breathe

I give to the trees the burdens I release

For the breeze to cleanse and bring back to me.

I can finally breathe
