Verse 1
She's kissing him in the rain the scene that all lovers crave
it fell apart for the montage
but we knew they can't keep away
and it's sweet for a moment
you think you want to know it
a throwing rocks at your window love
ya can't get enough of that kind
Prechorus
so you're stepping out into the game
and you think somehow, it's gonna change
and maybe it's true or it's the stories they tell
but let's rewrite it all
Chorus
I blame the tv for the pressure it gave you
to love somebody
I blame the tv for the picture it gave you
of what it looks like to be happy
what do you look like happy?
Verse 2
Now you're kissing him just to break
the lonely spell you've come to hate
but he's not a hero or savior
only you can save you this time
Prechorus
you know it takes two to play this game
and you think somehow, it's gonna change
and maybe it's true or it's the stories they tell
but let's rewrite it all
Chorus
I blame the tv for the pressure it gave you
to love somebody
I blame the tv for the picture it gave you
of what it looks like to be happy
what do you look like happy?
Bridge
Close your eyes and open your mind
you can't find enough of what will never get you high
behind that glass or silver screen
you'll find the whole damn box is empty
Chorus
I blame the tv for the pressure it gave you
to love somebody
I blame the tv for the picture it gave you
of what it looks like to be happy
what do you look like happy?
